It’s time to prioritize
your voice.
The KCJ Studio
Teaching
I have been teaching for over 10 years and I don’t plan on ever stopping! My master’s and doctorate at the Eastman School of Music exposed me to some of the greatest voice and music teachers in the field, and I can’t wait to share this knowledge with you.
Styles
Although classical music is my primary focus, I also teach musical theater, jazz, and pop. I’m highly trained in French, German, Italian, and Spanish diction.
Performance Anxiety
Singing in front of people is a common fear. Our voices are personal, and music is a way to communicate our deepest selves. I’m here to help you with performance anxiety, whether that’s singing in your congregation, for karaoke night, or on stage.
Philosophy
Voice lessons are a time for collaboration. When I meet with a new student, the first thing we discuss is what brings them to singing and what they want to develop in their voice. I do not believe in a “one size fits all” approach to voice. Your instrument is your self, and you have unique factors that bring you to singing. It’s time to honor those. My teaching focuses on you: guiding your vocal exploration according to your goals and ensuring your vocal health for the years to come.
Sessions

Half-hour coaching
Song coaching or diction coaching: your choice! Your goals come first, and I’m here to help.
Breathwork
The skill and art of breathing is for more than just singing. Practicing deep breathing can help relieve your body and mind of day-to-day stress. Gentle vocalizing further strengthens your body-breath connection. 15 minute sessions, exclusively offered online.
Hour
Extended warm-ups, song coaching, and whatever else you’d like to work on. This is our time to collaborate.
